A man arrested on drug-related charges is back in custody after vandalizing the Chula Vista Police Department in San Diego just moments after his release. According to police, suspect Jason Rodriguez, 33, was arrested for drug-related charges and taken to the Chula Vista Police Department for processing. At around 1 a.m. he was released from custody on his written promise to appear in court.
Minutes later, police say Rodriguez walked to the front entrance of the police department and used an unknown object to etch the letters “AROX” into a glass lobby door.
The Chula Vista Watch Commander reviewed security video and determined the vandalism – estimated at $2,000 in damages -- was caused by Rodriguez who was rearrested a few hours later. [Source] [BJS]
