As the September 8 deadline for President Obama's World's Greatest Jobs Speech looms, Allahpundit at HotAir brings word that WH aides are busily reducing expectations, suggesting that this speech -- instead of laying out the Grand Plan that the nation has been primed expect -- will only be a curtain-raiser, with other measures to follow in the months ahead.
In other words the world-shaking Plan is (surprise!) nothing but yada yada for now, and this administration is out of ideas. Meanwhile, the nation's jobs situation has become even more dire. Obama wanted the national spotlight for this speech, and unluckily for him, he's got it and its glare will leave him nowhere to hide.
