Bloomberg refuses to halt marathon. Update: He backs down

With much of Lower Manhattan still in darkness, fights breaking out on gas lines, looting  widespread and Staten Islanders begging for blankets, with bodies still being recovered, the oh-so-caring Nanny Bloomberg  is  blindly pushing ahead with The NY Marathon.
UPDATE: Marathon postponed as Nanny feels massive backlash.
