Dear Barry: L.C. Advice Columnist

Dear BARRY: I am an old-fashioned girl and when I go out on a date with a guy I expect him to pay for me. My current boyfriend expects me to cover my own costs. What should I do? --G.D., Chicago

Dear G.D: Ask your Representative,  or  maybe Senator Harry Reid, to introduce an Affordable Dating Act --ObamaDate, if you will, which will give everyone an equal chance to afford a date. Make sure it is  very long and exceedingly complicated,  so Congress will pass it quickly in order to see what's in it. If you like your boyfriend you will be able to keep your boyfriend. Each  of the 57 states would have a date exchange. Hey, the more I think about this, the more I like it. Maybe there's time before the next election. --BARRY, D.C.
