Sherwood Island at Westport, Connecticut, as I know from family beach walks when we lived in NY, is as state park with a lovely, long stretch of sand that is precious both to the people of Connecticut and nearby New Yorkers. But not this Monday, when thousands of beachgoers will be turned away so that President Obama, Man Of The People and presumptive savior of the middle class, can use the location as a base for fundraising, including a $35,800 per head bash at the $8.3-million waterfront estate of movie mogul Harvey Wienstein.
