A 39-year-old man has been as arrested on arson charges after authorities discovered he lit a cigarette while siphoning gas from neighbors' cars, a fire official said. The suspect, who jail records identified as Vade Arrun Bradley, was wandering around the carport area of the Valienzi Manor Apartments at Hayward in the Bay Area about 3:20 a.m., allegedly draining gas from residents' vehicles. Bradley was reportedly lighting a cigarette when it ignited gas vapors. He was treated for a black eye after a neighbor saw what happened and punched him. More here [BJS]8/10/13
